We were told the storm damage to our house was caused by a microburst or tornado. After growing up in Texas and spending years in Arkansas and around the U.S., I never would have imagined this happening in the desert. Mother nature is unpredictable indeed. Although my studio is in a slightly chaotic state, I'm almost back to my daily painting routine. I was close to finishing a new one today but had to stop for construction, so once more, I'm posting a painting I finished several months ago. I painted this from one of my grandmother's photographs she took while living in Japan in the 50's.
